From Aegis

Aegis (Android) exports plain or encrypted JSON. Vault2FA reads the plain one.

Short version: Export unencrypted JSON, move the file over, open it.

Steps

  1. Export

Aegis → Settings → Import & exportExport. Format: JSON. Turn off “Encrypt the vault”. Aegis will warn you; that's expected.

  2. Move the file

Get it to the iPhone by a route you trust — a USB cable, a self-hosted share, or an end-to-end-encrypted message to yourself. It contains every secret in plain text, so don't email it.

  3. Import

Vault2FA → + → Import from another app → Choose export file. Favourites and notes come across too.

  4. Delete the plain file

From both devices and any intermediate location.

Worth knowing

Afterwards

Make an encrypted backup (Settings → Backup) before you delete the old app, and check the support page if a code is rejected — it is nearly always the phone's clock.

Stuck? support@vault2fa.app. Never send a secret or a backup file by email.
